(4 photos of a 1971 Bright Red Mustang Spring Edition Fastback) Bright Red 1971 Mustang Spring Special Edition fastback owned by JT from Seattle, Washington. The Spring Edition added many of the Mach 1 and Boss appearance options. JT shares, "I purchased it from the original owner. It had been garaged mostly over the past two decades. He had to sell it because of his health - he is unable to drive. The plus side is that he lives two doors down from me and can visit anytime he wants. It is all original except for a AM/FM Cassette stereo installed sometime in the 1980s. I have had to do very little work to it except some minor paint and transmission maintenance. It was treated with care and well maintained. I have the original warranty card, owners manual and build sheet. I always wanted a 1st generation Mustang and while it is not a Mach 1 it is still very unique."

(6 photos of a 1973 Bright Red Mustang Convertible) Bright Red 1973 Mustang convertible from Dirk Howard from Gilbert, Arizona. It has the original 351ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 28, 2013. Dirk tells us, "It was a St. Louis MO rust bucket. I saw it restored on the internet for sale. Because it was kept stock, I had to buy it. It was a frame-off restore to fix a log of problems, mainly RUST. It has a 351C 2V engine, FMX transmission, Ram Air, 3.25:1 traction lock rear end, air conditioning, upgrades to disk brakes on front, slotted aluminum wheels, and stripes. The engine was overhauled and bored 030. The hood had factory flat black stripes. I decided to paint the stripes white. This car has been to several concourse shows and was never docked points for the hood being white. This Mustang has had it's picture taken with John Force, Miss Arizona, and even won a Chick Magnet award at a local car show. The Chick Magnet Award that was voted by a high school cheer leader squad. That is the most treasured award because they were not car buffs but people who really liked the car for what is is, a real good looking car!"
